AIDB-Position Statement-Maintenance during prolonged dry and hot weather periods
The Land Drainage Act 1991 places a duty on the Board to consider the impact of its work on the environment. The annual maintenance season is starting during a long period of below average rainfall and high temperatures which have an effect on fish in association with low flows, water temperature and dissolved oxygen availability.
